One of the most asked questions I get from clients is about concealer. What brand, colour, or product to use. So here's some information about what I personally like and use.
I like using liquid concealers for my under eyes, as a shadow base and creams for blemishes.
Liquids: MAC Pro Longwear (NW 20) (This is what I use on clients for its lasting power and bendability), Avon Extra Lasting (Light), Maybelline Fit Me (Medium Light) (This is my personal favorite that I use on myself the most)
Creams: Benefit Boi-ing (01), MAC Studio Finish (NW 20)
Why I like Liquids:
They are easy to blend, most are buildable for more coverage, they can be easily mixed if need be. No matter what, they will crease a little, so you can use your finger to easily blend it out after wearing it for some time.
You can also use concealers to highlight...but I'll save that for another time.
This is how I apply my concealer...
After washing my face, I moisturize and prime my skin.
Time for concealer! I mix some of the Maybelline Fit Me and the Avon Extra Lasting. Then blend! I use my Beauty Blender or my fingers.
I've done my right side with the Beauty Blender and my left side with my fingers.
What is a Beauty Blender??
Well this is a Beauty Blender (Mine is a knock off from London Drugs for half the price). The top image is the dry sponge. The bottom image is the wet sponge.
Wet the sponge, squeeze all the excess water, squeeze even more in a clean towel. Now the sponge is about twice the size of the dry sponge and is ready to use. You can use this to blend out the concealer as well as your foundation.
L'Oreal True Match Lumi, applied with a brush. The Sigma F80 is the BEST foundation brush on the entire planet. I also like the Real Techniques Expert face brush, but not as much.

Hope this was helpful!! Have a great week everyone :)
I have considered blogging for quite some time, but have never gotten around to actually starting. So today I being a new element of my business venture.
I am always asked about what products I would recommend or how to do certain techniques; so I figure blogging will be a good way to share a bit about myself, my passion and my favorite makeup goodies.
My Passion: I absolutely LOVE makeup and fashion. I have always loved it for as long as I can remember. I used to put on full production fashion runway shows with my Barbie's, stage, lights and music. I love what I do for the creative freedom it allows me, as well as making someone feel special and beautiful. Being able to enhance someone's beauty is an incredible feeling.
We are all born to do..."something". Figuring out that "something" is all part of the journey. Most anyone can do what ever they put their mind to, but some people just have th special something, a natural talent and a gift for what they're meant to do. This is why our parents, teachers and mentors tell us to follow our dreams.
Junior high is when I really started to take an interest in fashion and what I wore. I would ask my mom to make me a new outfit for every school dance...and so began my obsession with "What am I going to wear?"
I now make all my own clothes for any special occasion coming up in my own life. My wedding for example. I made my dress and basically everything else I possibly could. Now that I am a new mom, I LOVE dressing my daughter in fun outfits everyday too.
This past fall I found some much needed inspiration and re-awakening when I won a bootcamp session. In those short 6 weeks, I finally found the much needed motivation to focus my creativity on developing and defining my business.
"Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself."
These words have been resonating in my mind and have opened my eyes to the possibilities ahead of me.
I've been struggling to create an identity for my business and define what I do, until this past week. "Be your brand, put yourself into your business." Part of my business is to encourage clients to be themselves, be unique, think outside the box.
But I haven't been true to myself and who I've always been. I've been focusing on what others want and what they like.
So who am I?
I am a quiet person and I'm terrible at small talk. My mind is always bustling with ideas, creations and deigns. I am honest, sometime too much so. I am strong, determined and resourceful. I am passionate about the world around me and would love to travel the globe and photograph every inch of it. I love all things unique, whimsical, vintage, and untradtional.
After many years of just freelancing in my passions, I am now taking steps to make my dreams a reality. The time has come to stop trying to find myself and start creating myself.
